KONKHRA: Putting 'Heavy' Back In Heavy Metal

Danish extreme metallers KONKHRA have issued the following update on their current activities:

"We are ready to record the first 4-5 songs for the new album. This time we will record the songs as they get done, and next Friday we are entering Starstruck studio in Copenhagen to lay down the drums for these new twisted pieces of metal. AND we have absolutely no plans to change the way we sound, it will be KONKHRA like you know it, the style that we have established through the last 2 decades, locked up ferocious double bass, groovy to the max, and very bottom-heavy. Dont expect any fancy girly choruses or keyboard, DJ, hip hop, or anything like that. We play metal like taught us by the masters: SLAYER, early METALLICA, CELTIC FROST, POSSESSED, DEICIDE, and many others. We are also 100% aware that you need incredible precision and NEW beats, NEW riffs, NEW aggression. We are doing our best to connect the future with the past. Don't expect a re-run of well-known ideas. We even have our first polyrythmic song ready and that is definately a first for us....

"Label situation: We have cancelled our collaboration with Code666. They have failed to send us statements, and they have failed to list the album with copyrighting. We really regret to inform of this, our best work so far (and most critically acclaimed!) is NOT available in the shops anymore, and if there are copies available, they are actually illegally distributed, unless from our direct sources: Target, VME and a coupe of others. We have the rights for the album, and as we shop for a new contract, we will try and negotiate to make 'Reality Check' available through our new label. If you are looking for a copy drop us a line, we are still sending the disc out by mail.

"We start drums next Friday. We will take some pictures during the process and post them on our site. So start polishing your horns out there, because we are going to put heavy back in heavy metal this time round."
